Job Title: PTA Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a PTA specializing in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients in long-term care facilities to improve their overall health, mobility, and quality of life. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
- Monitoring and evaluating patients' progress
- Providing hands-on therapy techniques and exercises
- Educating patients and their families on therapy goals and techniques
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines in the provision of care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- Current PTA license in the state of practice
- Previous experience working in long-term care settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
