Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
π Job Summary
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients improve their ability to perform daily living and work activities. This role focuses on rehabilitation, skill development, and enhancing patient independence.
π Key Responsibilities

Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment plans

Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities

Help patients develop skills for daily living (ADLs)

Monitor patient progress and report updates to the OT

Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and home programs

Use adaptive equipment and assistive devices as needed

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Ensure a safe and supportive therapy environment
π Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program

Valid COTA certification/license
-
CPR/BLS Certification (preferred)

1β2+ years of experience in occupational therapy or rehabilitation (preferred)
