Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with individuals who have physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities to help them improve their ability to perform daily tasks and lead independent lives. You will assess patients' abilities, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions to help them reach their goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conducting evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities
2. Developing individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
3. Providing therapeutic activities to improve patients' strength, coordination, and motor skills
4. Teaching patients how to use adaptive equipment to enhance their independence
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
6. Documenting patient progress and communicating with families and caregivers
7. Participating in team meetings and continuing education to stay current in the field
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment
