Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility, relieve pain, and improve their overall quality of life. You will assist with exercises, modalities, and treatments to help patients achieve their therapy goals.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist Physical Therapists in evaluating and treating patients
- Implement treatment plans as directed by the therapist
- Provide hands-on assistance with therapeutic exercises and activities
- Monitor and document patient progress
- Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and exercises
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy area
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification or license as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Compassion and empathy for patients
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
