Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner (Respiratory Therapy)
Job Summary:
As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans to improve patients' respiratory function.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Evaluate patients' respiratory conditions and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and breathing treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on respiratory conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques
- Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity and blood gas levels
- Respond to emergency situations and provide respiratory support as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred
- State licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
